How does the caster determine its quality?

The extensive use of casters not only promotes the progress of society, but also has a great impact on the development of our lives; for example, casters in our furniture, casters in chairs, and some large machinery in the industry are now moving for convenience. All have followed the casters, and I can imagine how much the use of casters has brought us. In the casters we see in our lives, it is not that it can be used by production. It has also undergone a series of tests before it can be boxed, packaged and used. 1, reciprocating wear test:

 

The caster reciprocating wear test simulates the actual rolling condition of the caster in daily use. It is divided into two types: obstacle test and obstacle-free test. During the test, casters or other parts are not allowed to detach. After the test, each test is completed. The casters should be able to drive their normal functions. After the test is completed, the casters will roll, and the pivoting or braking function should not be damaged.

 

2, rolling resistance and rotation resistance test:

 

When the caster moves or wants to control its direction of travel, the force must be transmitted to the caster through the object and overcome a certain resistance. The magnitude of the resistance depends on: load, wheel diameter, wheel material, shape of the wheel, and the situation of the caster. Wait.

 

3, resistance performance test:

 

When testing this performance, the casters should be kept dry and clean. Place the casters on a metal plate insulated from the ground, keeping the wheel edges in contact with the metal plates and loading the casters at 5% to 10% of their nominal load. The resistance value between the caster and the metal plate was measured with an insulation resistance value tester (nominal open circuit voltage of 500 V, measured resistance value fluctuation within 10% and loss on the product not exceeding 3 W). For electrically conductive casters, the resistance value is not greater than 104 ohms, and the resistance of the antistatic casters should be between 105 ohms and 107 ohms.

 

4. Impact test:

 

Any item may be subjected to collision vibration due to transportation, use, storage, etc., and the product may not be used normally for a certain period of time. The furniture is often vulnerable to impact due to its large size and weight, and the caster at the bottom determines whether the furniture is placed smoothly. It should have good impact resistance.

 

5, static load test:

 

The casters should always run steadily on the ground, but that is almost a purely theoretical state. On a jagged surface, or when crossing a threshold, a track or a pit, the caster will briefly leave the ground. So when they suddenly overload or when 3 of the 4 casters touch the ground, they must carry the load of the entire furniture.

 

Through the above test, we can find that even if the appearance is not too big, it is not a big caster. It is also through these tests that it can become a qualified caster. Of course, in the production of the product, we should follow the above series of test methods step by step, which is not only to ensure the quality of the product, but also responsible for our products.
